Arroyo Park (Patwin School)

There are two field areas- Arroyo East and Arroyo West. One is east of Arroyo swimming pool and the other is west of the pool. Both fields have very little shade, so bring a large umbrella or other shade items to help provide shade on days that may be hot.

 

Please note that sometimes Arroyo West will be listed as Patwin School, as the western part of the park is adjacent to the school. During some seasons, particularly spring, the field areas may be subdivided into smaller fields. If there are two Arroyo West fields, then Arroyo West 1 will be closest to Patwin and Arroyo West 2 will be closest to the pool. For Spring 2007, three fields were initially marked at Arroyo West, but only two are needed. Therefore, we are directing teams to play on the western field (by Patwin) and the field closest to the pool, leaving an ununsed field in the middle.

 

From Highway 80: take Highway 113 North. Take the third exit, Covell Blvd, and turn left (west) on Covell Blvd. The first stop light after the freeway is Sutter Place/ Shasta Drive. A hospital is on the right. Turn left at the signal and continue as the road curves to the west. Arroyo East is on your left, just as you reach the Hampton Drive left turn.

For Arroyo East, you may either continue on to park at the swimming pool (Arroyo Pool) parking lot off of Shasta, or turn left at Hampton Dr. and park along the street.

 

For Arroyo West, continue on Shasta, and either park at the swimming pool or farther down Shasta at the Patwin Elementary School parking lot. Arroyo West is between Arroyo pool and Patwin Elementary School.

 

Restrooms are available on the east side of Arroyo Pool.

Community Fields - UpdatedFall 2006

Please note that these directions also work for the Davis High School fields, which are adjacent to Community field.

 

From the Bay Area: from Highway 80 take Highway 113 North. Take the third exit, Covell Boulevard and turn right (East). After the fourth stoplight (Catalina Drive), just after the bicycle overpass, turn right into the parking lot. Field 6 (select season) and fields 11,12, and 13 (Fall) is adjacent to the parking lot. If you reach F street you have just missed the turn, but turn right onto F so that you can park at the high school parking lot. Proceed south on F street. The first street you reach is 14th. Turn right, then proceed just past the Elementary School, the library, and the Veteran's Memorial Center, then turn right into the High School parking lot. There are many more parking spaces in this HS parking lot than in the parking lot off Covell.

 

From Sacramento: from Highway 80 take the Mace Blvd. exit and turn right onto Mace Blvd. This curves to the west and becomes Covell Blvd. Continue across town until you see a large park on the left (just after you cross the railroad overpass). There is a parking lot the opens onto Covell Blvd, Community Field is immediately adjacent to this. If this lot is full, or if you don't even want to try, then turn left after passing over the railroad overpass onto F street heading south. Then turn right on 14th (the first street you'll come to), the proceed past the elementary school, the library, and the Veteran's Memorial Center, and turn into the High School Parking lot. The soccer fields are to the north, northeast, and and to the east of that parking lot.

Emerson Jr High

 

From Highway 80: take Highway 113 North. Take the second exit, Russell Boulevard and turn left (West) on Russell Boulevard. Take the second right, Eisenhower Street. Continue to the end (about 3 blocks) Directly in front of you is Emerson Jr. High. Games may also be located on the football field, which is on the west side of the school.

 

For select season, games will be on South and/or North. Somewhat closer parking is possible off of Humboldt, then proceed directly south of the tennis courts.

 

Restrooms are 2 blocks west on Calaveras at Westwood Park.

Mace Ranch District Park

From the Bay Area: from Highway 80 take the Mace Blvd exit. and turn left (North) onto Mace Blvd. to Alhambra Drive. Turn left onto Alhambra Drive to Loyola Drive. The parking lot for the fields will be on your left.

 

From Sacramento: from Highway 80 take the Mace Blvd. exit and turn right onto Mace Blvd. When you come to Alhambra Drive you will make a left turn and to to Loyola Drive and turn left. The parking lot for the fields will be on your left.

Mace 1: is the field in Mace Ranch Park closest to the Mace Ranch Elementary School, located just to the west of the school.

 

Mace 2: is the field located between the backstops in Mace Ranch Park, located closer to Explorit Science Center.

 

 

 

Montgomery School

Montgomery: Montgomery field is in South Davis adjacent to Walnut Park. From Highway 80 take the Richards Blvd exit and go south. Turn right at Lillard Drive(opposite of the shopping center). Montgomery field is adjacent to Montgomery Elementary School, which is at the east end of Walnut Park. Parking is accessible from Lillard Drive. Restrooms are available at the west end of Walnut Park. A map is shown below:

 

 

Northstar Fields & Park

From the Bay Area: from Interstate 80 take the Highway 113 North exit. Take the third exit, Covell Boulevard and turn right (East). Turn left (North) on "F" Street (the fifth light). After several blocks you will see a wildlife area/ drainage pond on your left. Take the first left after this (Anderson Road). The parking lot for the fields will be on your left.

 

From Sacramento: from Interstate 80 take the Mace Blvd. exit and turn right onto Mace Blvd. This curves to the west and becomes Covell Blvd. Continue across town until you come to F Street, which is a signal just past the railroad overpass. Turn right on F street. After several blocks you will see a wildlife area/ drainage pond on your left. Take the first left after this (Anderson Road). The parking lot for the fields will be on your left.

 

From Woodland: from Highway 113, heading south, exit on Road 29. Go east 1 mile. Just before the railroad tracks turn south on Road 101. Take your first right after about a mile at the flashing yellow light, which is Anderson Road. The most parking spaces and farthest walk is available as a left turn into the park parking. The closest parking and shortest walk is available by continuing on Anderson Road and turning left at the stop sign at Oriole St. After turning left, go straight about 50 yards to the small parking lot. This is very close to Northstar West.

 

Restrooms are available on the east end by the parking lot.

Nugget Fields

The Nugget Fields are a privately developed set of soccer fields, managed by the Davis Sports Foundation with the support of Davis AYSO, Nugget Market, and a long list of community supporters. They are immediately adjacent to Sandy Motley Park, a city developed park in the Wildhorse housing development.

 

From Sacramento: take the Mace Blvd exit and turn right (north). Continue on Mace - it goes around a curve and becomes Covell Boulevard. Continue on Covell until Pole Line Road (there is a shopping center with a Carl's Jr at this corner). Turn right (north) on Pole Line Road. In a few blocks you will see the Nugget fields at your right, turn right on Moore Blvd.

Sandy Motley Field

Sandy Motley Park is immediately adjacent to the Nugget Fields on Moore Blvd, just off of Pole Line Road. See map below for location.

 

Sandy Motley is to the east of Nugget, adjacent to the playground, with permanent goals.

Walnut Park Fields

Walnut Park: Walnut Park is in South Davis on Lillard Drive. From Highway 80 take the Richards Blvd exit and go south. Turn right at Lillard Drive (opposite of the shopping center). There are two fields: Walnut North is adjacent to the parking lot close to the Merryhill School on Lillard Drive. Walnut South is south of the tennis courts (park next to the Merryhill School and follow the bike path to the south). Portable Toilets are adjacent to the tennis courts.
