The 2016 Davis AYSO Spring season will consist of seven games on Friday afternoons and evenings, beginning April 8, 2016 and ending May 20, 2016. Teams are co-ed and are generally formed based on combined location (North /West and East/South) and using the AYSO balanced teams philosophy.
The age divisions include U5 through U16/U19 (NOTE: U16/19 small-sided teams will be formed if enough players sign up). Flags are used for goals and colored pinnies are usually used in this season, and played on age-appropriate sized fields. Each player is required to wear shin guards, socks to cover the shin guards, and appropriate shoes (whether it be soccer cleats or gym shoes).
The Spring season is a great way to introduce non-soccer experienced players to the game, or for a refresher for those who played in the Fall season and want to continue and advance in their skills.
AGE DIVISIONS: Our Spring season age divisions are the same as what was played in the previous Fall season, for example, if your child played in the U10 Division last Fall, then your child would be playing in the U10 Division for Spring. Age divisions are based on the players' ages on July 31, 2015. All Spring teams are co-ed.
SEASON DATES: There are seven games in the Spring season and the first game is April 8.
PRACTICE TIMES: Practice times are generally scheduled by the Coach as well as depending on the age group and the season, can occur once or twice a week.
GAME TIMES: At the start of the season, TBA, tentatively start at either 4:30 or 5:30pm. There are no games played during Memorial Day weekend.
PARENTS: Please note that players are usually contacted the first week in April. If you have not heard from anyone by April 6, then you can send an email to email@example.com to check on the status of your child's coach. The delay may result from your child being placed on a team, but no parent has stepped up to volunteer as a coach.
WALK-IN REGISTRATION EVENTS: Early Bird Wednesday, February 10th, 6-8pm, Wednesday, February 17th, 6-8pm, Thursday, February 25th, 6-8pm and Saturday, February 27th, 10am-1pm. All registration events are held at the AYSO building in Community Park (behind the library). Available Feburary 3rd: Players must pre-register online at eayso.org and bring a printed registration form to a registration event. Players new to AYSO must also bring a birth certificate or passport to verify age.
REGISTRATION FEE for Spring 2016:Early Bird February 10th Walk-In only $60/player ($30 U5).
All other dates $70 per player ($40 for U5) for walk-in. Now accepting credit card payment for walk-in only.
Mail-in fees are $85 per player ($55 for U5) check only.
Registration forms must be received by March 1st.
REFUND DEADLINE: 100% before March 1st. 50% from March 1-14 and no refunds beginning March 15.
REQUIREMENTS: Shoes (gym or cleats) and shin guards. Pinnies will be used for each of the teams.
