The
first step in the REGISTRATION process (whether
your child is new to AYSO or your child is
a returning player to AYSO) is to go to http://www.eayso.org
and pre-register your child.
To pre-register
your child, you need to complete these 4 steps:
1.
Pre-register
via www.eayso.org.
(If problems with login password, see NOTE below)
2.
Print
out 2 copies and keep one for your coach for each player's registration form via the
"Print Form" link on eAYSO. (If
you do NOT see a printer icon
next to your child's name, you are not done.) Works best with Internet Explorer.
Bring
the following documents to Walk-In Registration:
5.
Play up requests are no longer allowed. Play down requests will be considered.
Child(ren)'s
Registration Form(s) (include
copy of birth certificate if new to AYSO for proof of age)
Fall Supplemental Form (one for each child), and
Registration fee: See the appropriate season for registration
fee (different cost for different seasons)
NOTE:
If you are experiencing troubles with logging into eAYSO.org, please
email and
they will be able to supply you with a NEW login password to use
to re-enter the system.
Important Reminder:
Pre-registering
online is the first step for registration, but by itself, doesn't
get your child on a team. You need to finish the process by printing
the form, signing it, and submitting it along with the necessary
documents listed above to the Registrar.
If
volunteering as a coach or referee or any other volunteer positions,
please make certain to complete the "Sign up a Volunteer"
requirements on the application form when you register on the
www.eayso.org
website. The Volunteer application must be submitted each year.
Bring two printed copies of the Volunteer application
along with the registration forms to one of the walk-in registration
dates.
Mailed volunteer applications cannot be accepted because we need to verify applicants, in person, with a photo id.
Frequent
Answers :
If you can't get the registration form to appear, enable popups.
Don't use a Macintosh for pre-registration unless it's been specially
loaded with Firefox as the browser.
Remember the email address you used when you first pre-registered
your child. That's the key to finding your previously stored information.
Remember
your password !
In some
circumstances (we're figuring this out now), you may be trying to
pre-register your child who has already played in a prior season,
and eAYSO doesn't show them listed, but when you create them, it
says that they already exist. If this happens to you, the fastest
work-around is to create a new entry for that child and add a "-"
character to their first name. This will get you by the duplication
check, and will also signal us that you had this issue happen. The reason for this is the player was already registered under a different user id.
If you
forgot your login email address, don't wait until registration to
recover it. email to
have it re-set for you.
Wait
List Policy
If
you submit your child's registration form after our
Registration Cut-off Date of July 15, your child's
registration form will be placed on the "Waiting
List" for their age division. When an opening occurs,
we will fill the vacancy with the first player on the wait list
in their division, and so on. There are no guarantees that your
child will be able to play in the designated location (N, S, E
or W) you specified on their registration form. However, we will
do our best without disrupting our "Team Balancing"
philosophy.

Area
/ Location Map (used in Team formations)
In using
one of AYSO's philosophy's, "Balanced Teams", we first
need to divide the City of Davis into locations, i.e. N, S, E &
W (see map below for reference). Then within each of those locations,
we run our team balancing program which sorts each of the player's
first by age, then by their rating, resulting in equally competitive
teams within the same location.
The
location boundries have been slightly modified to help evenly distribute
the number of players among the four areas shown below. Unfortunately
these location boundries may not agree with current school boundries.
However, this is the only way we can evenly distribute the number
of players fairly.
Play Down Policy
The
group that you belong in depends on the age you are on July
31st of each year. So, if you are 9 years old when July 31st
comes around, you are in the Under 10 (U10) age bracket.
Players
are generally not allowed to play down (play
in a younger age group) unless there is a disability or similar
situation. If you are requesting a "Play Down" please send an
email to
and include as much information as you can in our request.
After
requests have been received, it will then be forwarded onto
the the Commissioner for review and approval if granted.
Refund
Policy
If
a child does not wish to participate in the Fall season, you must
fill out the Refund
Request Form and mail it in or email it (as an attachment)
to the Registrar as soon as possible.
Full
refunds (100%) can only be granted if you make the request prior
to the deadline indicated below. Partial refunds (50%) will be
given if you send in your request prior to next deadline indicated
below. No refunds are typically granted near the start of the
season and beyond unless your child, while on the waiting list,
was never placed on a team.
The
Refund Request Form link above is to an Acrobat (pdf) document.
If you don't have Acrobat, but have MS Excel, then you can link

Additional Information for registration: We need about 350 coaches and 200 referees during the season, about 1/3 of them new. Contact () or () for more information. AYSO's instructional programs can train the novice to be a vital referee or coach. See http://www.davisayso.org/training.htm for information about the training program and the schedules for training this summer.
Davis AYSO is
offering an adapted soccer program for players with disabilities
called VIP - Very Important Player
program.
Players four
years old and older who have a disability that would make it difficult
for them to play successfully on a mainstream team will have an
opportunity to play soccer at their own level. There is no upper
age limit and registration is free. Teams will be formed based on
size, ability levels and age.
The VIP teams
are not limited to ambulatory players. Players using wheelchairs,
walkers and other assisting devices are welcome to register. AYSO
has always operated with the philosophy "everyone plays,"
meaning every player must play at least half of every game. The
VIP program expands that philosophy to ensure that everyone has
an opportunity to play soccer.
Practices and
games will be held back-to-back, each session including learning
soccer skills followed by a soccer game. Sessions begin after September
6. Field, day and time TBA.
Registration
for VIP program is at the AYSO building,
same as the registration for mainstream players. Coaches and VIP
buddies are needed for the program to be successful. Anyone 12 years
old and older can volunteer as a VIP buddy. No prior experience
necessary. Community Service credits available.

SELECT 2009/2010 REGISTRATION
Criteria
for the Select Season
We
encourage all eligible players (U10 and above) to apply! To
be considered, you must fill out a [Select Player Application
- will be posted here in fall 2009] form. This form
is available through your Fall Season Coach as well as under "Miscellaneous
Forms" on this website. Please
note that to be eligible for the Select program a player must
be enrolled in the prior Fall program, and must participate in
at least 50% of the regular Fall Season games. You can
only participate in Select in the same division that you participated
in during the Fall season.
The number of teams that will be formed in each
division varies from year to year. In general, you can expect
roughly 1 Select team for every 6 Fall teams. You will travel
more than you do in the Fall, as the league could involve teams
from Concord, Walnut Creek, Mount Diablo, Pleasant Hill, Stockton
and Rio Vista, as well as Winters, Rio Linda and Antelope (and
possibly others - this may vary from year to year).
A
high level of commitment is expected from both the players AND
the parents. Select is for motivated and enthusiastic players.
For the good of the team, a player must regularly attend practices
and games. Parents are expected to participate in league organization,
particularly in the running of the Select Tournament and the Davis
World Cup.
Please
see the SELECT
SEASON page for more details about the Select Season.
