Hello AYSO!
Thank you to everyone who helped with this fall season of AYSO soccer! Coaches, referees, team parents, field adopters, and everyone else who worked tirelessly to ensure our players had a great season, we couldn't have done it without you.
Congrats to the 14U Boys Coffee Beans for winning the Area Tournament and heading to Foster City next weekend to continue competing in the Section Tournament.
Coming very close in their divisions in the Area Tournament were the 12UG Lightning Bolts who took second place, and the 12UB Eggplants of Dominance and Blue Shreks who took third and fourth place. Way to go teams!
Our VIP Program is looking for buddies - no soccer experience needed! Davis is one of the few Northern California regions to have a VIP Program, for players with physical or neurodiverse
special needs. VIP meets for two hours on Sundays during the spring and fall seasons. Junior high and high school kids are encouraged to become buddies - any time spent can go towards volunteer hours for graduation. Please email [email protected] if you're interested in becoming a buddy.
As the Select/Alliance season gets underway, and we begin planning for Spring Soccer, the volunteers who run AYSO are looking for a little more help. Our board consists of a great group of folks and we'd like you to join us in continuing to offer great soccer programs to our children. If you have a little (or a lot) of time to spare, and you'd like to get more involved, we're looking for the following positions:
- Volunteer Coordinator - help guide volunteers through the sign up process and be in charge of volunteer appreciation
- Uniform Coordinator - order and coordinate distribution of fall uniforms to coaches
- Board Member at Large - be an extra set of hands when needed
- Division Coach Administrators - make teams and be the first line of communication for coaches each season
If any of these sound interesting, please reach out to me and we can discuss further.
If you have not already done so and you played in Fall, please fill out our Fall survey for the division in which your child played. This helps us plan the best season possible for our players.
Spring soccer registration opens in mid-January, we hope to see you there!
Warmly,
Katie Lyon
