The Future of Nugget Field: What You Need to Know

Nugget Field has been a beloved home for Davis AYSO soccer for decades. DJUSD is now exploring a plan to support affordable teacher housing—which could include selling the Nugget Field property.

Here’s what’s happening:

• Davis Joint Unified School District (DJUSD) is considering building workforce housing and may use the sale of Nugget Fields as a funding source.
• A new sports complex (with lights, bathroom, concessions) being developed is part of the plan—located behind Harper Jr. High and designed to support youth soccer into the future.
• DJUSD is working with Davis AYSO proactively to support a seamless transition should the sale of Nugget Field occur.
• This plan is still in early stages. Nothing is changing yet.
