Hello AYSO!
Thank you for being part of the incredible fall season! Your support, both past and present, as spectators, players, coaches, referees, and administrators have made it another memorable season for thousands. Here's a quick rundown of the highlights:
Wide Range of Programs: AYSO continues to have open registration opportunities for all players of all backgrounds from 5U to 19U. Our 16U Girls, 16U Boys and 19U Co-ed Fall teams made their mark in the NorCal Premier Super Rec League, playing both home and away games (within 30 minutes of Davis). Thanks to parents and players for embracing this exciting addition!
Our in-house league from 5U-14U keeps expanding to provide competition in a positive environment with 90% of the games at local parks you can bike to!
 Impressive Fall Referee Game Coverage:
With over 400 soccer games held at parks in Davis during the 8-week season, we achieved an outstanding 98 percent coverage in the referee spot for 10U and up—our highest in the past decade. Kudos to all our dedicated volunteer referees, with special recognition to Wei H. (28 games) and Kai K. (youth referee on left, 12 games). The AYSO referee training and mentoring program empowers anyone to learn how to referee, get exercise, and have fun with it!
Adult League Kickoff: AYSO's first adult season saw 6 teams in the women's division and 10 in the men's division, playing 7v7 soccer each Sunday. The feedback has been great so far and is invaluable as we work to expand this opportunity for Davis adults of all skill levels.
 Volunteer Appreciation Event: Fall 2023 was celebrated in-person at a Volunteer Appreciation Event at Ruhstaller Farm. It was a delightful evening filled with food, beverages, and connections. Explore the recognition tab on our website to learn more about the 2023 awards presented at the event.
Media Coverage: Davis AYSO gained media attention through the HUB (Buddying Up with the EPIC Program) and KDRT 95.7FM's Timeout Radio (Youth Soccer Scores). Thanks for helping us spread the word about Davis' soccer home!
 Alliance Soccer on the Horizon: The enthusiasm from Fall 10U-16U players transitions into Alliance soccer, with 13 teams gearing up for Winter and Spring competitions starting in January. We're excited to see Davis represented on the field!
Looking Ahead to Spring: While Davis AYSO's Nugget Fields and City of Davis fields are closed during and after rain, we're eagerly anticipating the Spring soccerseason. If small-sided games, co-ed youth teams, with weekends free sounds up your alley then Spring soccer is for you! Registration opens on January 15 for ages 4 - Adult (age is just a number, right??).
