The City of Davis is currently conducting a Parks and Community Services Survey to gather feedback on the existing park facilities and services. Your participation in this survey will play a key role in helping Davis AYSO collaborate with the City to enhance soccer opportunities for decades to come.

In particular, we'd like to draw your attention to Question 9 in the survey, where you'll be asked about specific amenities or features lacking in the current park facilities. AYSO leadership in Davis has discussed a few key points that we believe would greatly benefit our soccer community:

Our asks to the City are:

• Sandy Motley Park: Improved restroom facilities with plumbing.

• Anywhere: An additional full-size, all-weather turf field suitable for soccer, lacrosse, field hockey, etc. Sandy Motley Park is a potential location for creating such a field.

• Lighted Fields: There is a need for lighted fields suitable for soccer use. Preferred locations include Community Park (near the Arts Center), Sandy Motley Park, Arroyo Park, and Walnut Park.

Your participation will play a crucial role in ensuring that our community enjoys top-notch facilities for soccer and other sports for years to come.

As an example of how the City survey impacts funding, the 2023 Playfields Park turf revitalization received funding because of the last survey completed (in 2010!). Filling out the 2023 City of Davis survey helps the City plans for facility improvements over the next decade.
