For Boys and Girls ages 4-19 years of age. Teams will be formed for Schoolyard (U5) through U19 players. AYSO has changed from a school year registration to a birth year registration in order to align with other youth soccer program providers' interpretation of the U.S. Soccer Player Development Initiatives. The effective date of age determination for registration shall be the player's age as of December 31 looking ahead of the Membership Year.  Example: For MY2017 the division the child will be placed in  will be determined based on their age on December 31, 2018. AYSO has transitioned to a new online registration program. Registration and payment is now conducted online through the "Register Now" link at the top right of our webpage.

Step 1: create an account at the Register Now link.

Step 2: Add a player to your account and choose a soccer program (Fall)

Step 3: Volunteer! We're an all volunteer organization. Without the in-person registration events, we don't have the opportunity to twist your arm to coach, referee and support the program. Please sign up while registering your player! We provide all the needed training an support. This program doesn't work without everyone's help.

Step 4: Payment is taken online by credit card. For families who would like to request a scholarship for player fees, we will schedule two walk in nights to take scholarship requests. (Please check back soon for dates in May)

General Information

This new system is new to all of us. Please let us know if you have any questions either by contacting technical support for Blue Sombrero or by e-mailing or

We're getting a lot of questions asking if players can play down a division due to the change in the age division guidelines. AYSO does not allow play down requests except for the most extreme cases of smaller size or sometimes developmental delay. We understand the new age guidelines mean many players changing age divisions from what they expected they would be playing this coming fall. In some cases players are now on the younger side of the division instead of the older side or vice versa. However, the age divisions still span the same period of time (one year for lower ages and two years for 10U up to 14U) and so your player will still be playing with kids pretty much in the same age range as before.  The division names are throwing some parents (example - my 7 year old who turns 8 late this year is in the "10 and under - 10U" division???), but these are the division designations defined by AYSO and they are correctly capturing the right group of kids.

In every season we have new players, returning players, players with strong skills for their age and those with more developing skills for their age. Three of AYSO's core philosophies are Balanced Teams, Everyone Plays and Player Development. Those three philosophies mean that we strive to put together teams that have a variety of skills and experience and that all of those players will have the opportunity to play and develop.

So we ask that you give the new age guidelines a chance. Our coaches will be reminded that the ages have shifted somewhat. Also be aware that game rules and field sizes are shifting as well to address age appropriate player development.

Late Registrations:

Our registration period for Fall 2017 ends on June 30, 2017. Registrations received after June 30 will be placed on a waiting list and we will do our best to place the player on a team on a space available basis. Wait-listed players will be added to teams in early September if space is available.  If you are willing to coach or assistant coach we may be able to move your player off the wait-list sooner.  Contact the appropriate Division Coach Administrator for more information (see "Contact Us" page).
