2026 Spring Soccer

This season is designed for boys and girls ages 4 to 18 in a fast-paced, small-sided format that anyone can enjoy. All games will take place on Fridays in Davis leaving weekends free. We are all about fresh air, community, and fun through the sport of soccer. Field size, goal size, and team size will be small for most divisions (typically 4v4 on the field).

New to soccer? Learn the game with simple rules in a fun, supportive environment.

Played some soccer? Enjoy more touches on the ball and be a part of more goals with small-sided play.

Very experienced at soccer? Challenge yourself—practice using your non-dominant foot and develop game awareness in tight spaces!

Davis AYSO’s program brings together over 100 teams from the community, offering young players a fun and supportive environment emphasizing skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.

Season Dates

Start week: March 30, 2026

End: May 15, 2026

Games: Friday evenings (first game 4/3/2026) for about an hour between 4pm-7pm

Practice Details: Each team will practice one weekday per week for an hour, usually starting between 4–6 pm. Coaches will choose the teams practice day/location.

7 games at 8 practices total! 3 hours of soccer per week for most divisions.

Divisions and Team Formation

Co-ed Schoolyard (turning 4 by March 31, 2026) – 1 practice per week

6U (Born in 2020/2021) – 19U (Born in 2007) gendered divisions* – 1 weekday training and 1 Friday evening game per week

*We aim to form gendered divisions where possible. 48 registrants are needed to form each gendered division, so encourage your friends to play! Typically 14U and above (2013-2007) are co-ed divisions but reach out to us with registrant numbers if needed.

Our registration system will only let you register for divisions your child is eligible to play on (based on their birth date).

Team Formation Priorities:

Balanced teams – ensuring teams have roughly equal skill levels
Aligning practice days where possible
Geographic proximity – teams are formed within neighborhoods when possible

Friend or practice requests cannot be accommodated but volunteers do select their practice day/time and who they coach with so grab a friend and let's coach! Coaches will notify families of practice days and locations around March 19th.

Volunteer

Volunteer during registration. AYSO is all volunteer-run, and every parent’s contribution is crucial. Free, accredited, division-specific training is provided for coaches and referees, which are our highest needs. AYSO’s mentorship and administrative team will support you to make the season smooth and fun!

Cost

Co-ed Schoolyard: $80 ($55 regional fee, $25 National Player Fee)

All other divisions: $155 ($130 regional fee, $25 National Player Fee,)

Returning Player Discount: If your player participated in the Fall 2025 season, the $25 National Player Fee will be automatically reduced if you use the same account to register.

Cost includes participant t-shirts, team equipment, and field fees.

Scholarships: Fully covered registration scholarships are available. Continue to the payment screen, stop without paying, and complete this short form. Instructions and a coupon code will be emailed.

Refund Policy

100% up to March 1

50% from March 2–30

No refunds after the season starts

$25 national player fee or any other associated fees are non-refundable

Refunds issued by May 30. Request here.

Equipment Requirements

Families provide: shoes (cleats or other closed-toe), shin guards, and socks to cover shin guards. Local options for purchase Soccer and Lifestyle, Big 5, Target. Davis AYSO provides team equipment, participant t-shirt, and game day pinnies.

Cleat/Equipment Exchange: Visit the AYSO Building at Community Park (details TBA).
