1. Register as a volunteer (click the button above if needed OR if you volunteered during registration skip to step 2). Please ensure each volunteer has their own account with a unique email address (youth volunteers or partners must have their own account or be added and accept an invite to the primary account)

2. Attend appropriate training course:  
    To referee 6U and 8U:
   Login to your account by clicking the "Log-in" button at the top of this page. Click the Volunteer menu on the left, and find the "AYSOU" button under your name on your Volunteer page.
On our training site, click "Training Event" on the left, navigate to the date for the in-person course you want to take. Attend to get your training, gear, meet your mentors, and prepare for the fun!

Please note that 6U/8U training is the same! If you have a 6U player you should still take the "8U Official Course" ; and you'll be set for next season still as well!

                                                       OR

    To referee 10U and above :
    a. Complete the Regional Referee Training Course (two part in person course)
Login to your account by clicking the "Log-in" button at the top of this page. Click the Volunteer menu on the left, and find the "AYSOU" button under your name on your Volunteer page.
On our training site, click "Training Event" on the left, navigate to the dates for the in-person course you want to take. See screenshots to the right on desktop or below on mobile if you need assistance.  Attend to get your training, gear, meet your mentors, and prepare for the fun!

Region 218 Sessions are on this website page and classes are typically offered in August and March of each year.

3. Complete the Safe Haven, CDC Concussion Awareness and Sudden Cardiac Arrest courses online  
  Login to your account by clicking the "Log-in" button at the top of this page.  Click the Volunteer menu on the left, and find the "AYSOU" button under your name on your Volunteer page.
On our training site, click "Training Library" on the left
Under "Safe Haven Courses" click "View Courses"
Complete the Safe Haven Online Course
Complete the CDC Concussion Awareness Online Course
Complete the Sudden Cardiac Arrest Online Course

Only if requested to do so:

4.  Complete the SafeSport training online at: https://safesporttrained.org/?KeyName=tsVWe36Xa6PS3b5NzOug (Minors do not take SafeSport) or do fingerprinting
