Fall 2024 Recap

Hello AYSO!

As our fall season draws to a close, we celebrate the achievements, hard work, and unforgettable memories made on and off the field! Good luck to our 10U-14U teams that will be competing in the AYSO Area 2D area tournament this weekend. 10U and 12U games will be held at Walnut Park from 9am-2pm on November 16 and 11am-2pm on November 17.

It’s been a fantastic season filled with determination, teamwork, and community spirit. Thank you for being a part, whether small or large, in making soccer happen for over 1300 kids this fall!

We asked parents to rate their season in meeting our core philosophies (5 is definitely met and 1 is definitely did not meet):

   Open Registration
   Balanced Teams
 Everyone Plays
   Positive Coaching
 Good Sportsmanship
 Player Development
 Wants to keep playing soccer?

Thanks to our 100% volunteer-supported activities this Fall, we’ve built a strong community of families and fans. Volunteering and playing with Davis AYSO brings people together like few other experiences, creating lasting connections and memories.  We will see you out on the field soon for our next seasons of play!

Keeping Soccer Accessible

Our community is committed to ensuring every child who wants to play soccer has that chance. Our commitment to community-focused, inclusive soccer ensures that every player, regardless of experience, has a place to grow and connect.

This season Davis AYSO:
- provided over $30,000 in registration fee assistance to nearly 200 families
- supported Montgomery Elementary with new soccer balls for their playground
-continued offering community soccer programs for our 11v11 players (14U and above)

Referee Dedication

Thanks to our amazing referees, we had 146 games for 6U-8U, 168 games for 10U-12U, and 74 tournament and jamboree games—all safe, fair, and fun! Artem Lada was given the Referee Service Award this year for his work and dedication in training the latest group of all-volunteer AYSO referees!

Tomorrow they will take to the field again for the Area 2D tournament at Walnut Park!

Special Events

Picture Day and Silent Saturday were great successes. The introduction of a goal keeper program for players was also an added member benefit this fall!

Our volunteer appreciation event honored those who go above and beyond. Shout out to Nate Irish for winning the Coach Sportsmanship Award, Samantha Conselman for her Hall of Fame induction, and Sara Stelleyhawkes as Volunteer of the Year!

Tournament Triumphs

Our 16UB team capped off their season with an exciting tournament win at the NorCal Premier Soccer Super Rec Cup, bringing home the division cup after a thrilling round of penalty kicks.

The following 12U and 14U teams won the regional tournament held on November 2nd and 3rd.

In 12UG, Bolts and Royal Sharks.  In 12UB, Blue Sharks and Green Guacamole. In 14UB, Tidal Wave.
Congratulations to coaches, players, and families on their performances this season!
