Coach

Assistant Coach Coaching is one of the most rewarding ways to volunteer. Assistant Coaches help conduct training sessions and coach weekly games. Age specific coach training is required as well as Safe Haven and Concussion Training.

Referee

Team Parent Team Parents are assigned to each team to assist with team communications with the league, organize parent volunteers and generally help keep the coach focused on training the players instead of administration activities.

Referee (18+ only) Use this if you are 18+ and want to referee. Referees are critical to making soccer safe, fair and fun for players. What a great way to volunteer, learn the game of soccer and get some exercise.

Youth Trainer Help coaches with training sessions and with coaching at games. Youth Trainers take the same training as coaches. Youth Trainers participate with certified coaches present at all times.

Field Adopter Take 15 minutes to unlock goals Saturday morning or lock goals Saturday evenings. Exact schedule will be provided

Division Administrator (DCA) Responsible for forming balanced teams for a specific age division, for example 10U boys. Recruits coaches and communicates with volunteers about training and requirements. Supports communication to coaches and teams throughout the season.

Other Roles

Davis AYSO is in continued need of help with the back end of things. Some of it are small tasks, others much involved.

Just some of the items we could use help with:

Uniform Coordinator: 2x/year help with ordering uniforms. light computer skills.
Picture Day Coordinator: 1x/year in Aug/September - just works on organizing the date and liaison with the picture company.
Volunteer Coordinator: Help with organizing volunteers for certain hosted events (Fall Jamboree, Area Tournament, Davis World Cup.)
Food Coordinator: Help with ordering/picking up food for referees or coaches for hosted events.
Field Adopter Coordinator: Help with locking/unlocking goals at certain parks. simple task and mostly Saturday Morning and Evening during the season. Live near a park we use? Simple way to help!
Equipment Coordinator: Help with ordering and organizing the coach bags, balls, cones, etc. Help needed at beginning and end of season.
Spring Season Coordinator: Help with our 5v5 Spring Season.
